An old self portrait that still makes me smile.
I realized the other day how genuinely happy it makes me knowing that I’ve documented so many moments from my life, and in a way that speaks so clearly to me in retrospect. Being able to pick up a photo and open back up to a page in my life that held a feeling I knew I’d want to relive. “This is how he looked at me the moment after I realized that I actually love him…he had no idea” or “I was laughing so hard that there were tears in my eyes when I took this…” Not that anyone should necessarily give a shit, but it’s nice to be in possession of such things.
They often help me stay grateful.
